It was a somber occasion, a wreath is placed, 73 candles were lit. We gathered in a group and song Silent Night.
Donna and I walked the store fronts on the way to Christmas Eve church service.
As we walked down 5th street on Christmas Eve, the store fronts were all lit up, the streets were mostly empty, The town paused, even if it was just for a moment, to celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus. Calumet was quiet, all is well in the Keweenaw.
