Saying Good-By To Our Friend Lindy

Every Sunday, Lindy gets out her violin and plays along with the congregation.  We were so blessed to have such a talented young lady play at our little church in South Range. Many times she would do solo's and piano duets, that would bring tears to many of the members and guest. A wonderful young lady who loves the Lord.  As with everything, nothing last forever.  Lindy announced that she is leaving the Keweenaw and going down state to become a nurse. She will be attending University of Michigan in the fall nursing program.   While we are happy in her new endeavor we are sad to see her go. We love Lindy.
Lindy Wagner began taking violin lessons shortly before her fifth birthday. She received both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in violin performance from Eastern Michigan University where she served as concertmaster of the university orchestra for several semesters. She has experience performing in community orchestras, chamber groups, churches, and weddings.  She is concertmaster of the Keweenaw Symphony Orchestra (KSO) and played in the Pine Mountain Music Festival Symphony Orchestra during their 2015 season.  In 2016, Lindy performed with the KSO as a winner of the orchestra’s Concerto and Aria Contest.

Donna and I have attended many of Lindy's performances.  We enjoy listening to her as she does her magic on the violin.

Here Lindy is doing a duet at a local concert.

After performing one of her last concerts, we were invited to stay for coffee & cake. We all enjoyed our fellowship with Lindy. As you can see, being 6 foot 5 inches you stand out in a crowed.
