Pasty Fest 2016
This is our first Pasty Fest parade here in down town Calumet Mi. The parade started on Mine st and ended up on 5th street. There was plenty of candy tossed for the kids, and even had a marching band. Plenty of vendors displaying there wares. Oh of course, we could not go home with out a pasty for lunch. ( Pasty is a meal that miners took down in the mine for lunch, made up of meat and potato's wrapped in pastry crust) The car shown is a 1941 ambulance used for the Calumet & Hecla mine company.
