Here to day, gone tomorrow. Once numbering in the hundreds, mine shafts like this one use to dot the landscape through out the Keweenaw. Now there are only just a few of these shaft houses left. This is Centennial #3 and was just recently torn down, the landscape is changing, history for ever lost. So when you come to the Keweenaw,bring a camera, take lots and lots of pictures. Here to day, gone tomorrow.
